Fact FileBrown bears can grow to 8 feet tall to 10 feet tall and have known to get even bigger and they can weigh from 700 lbs to 1,700 lbs and have claws the same length as a human finger. They are also five times stronger than an average human and have extremely powerful jaws which can tear off limbs and bite straight through thick objects and their canines are thick and sharp perfect for crushing bones. Bite force 740 psi powerful enough to bite through skin like eating a grape. They are omnivores but their favourite food is fish which they grab out of the water and rip apart with their claws and teeth. When it comes to fighting brown bears are very aggressive and will claw at each other violently and then they unleash a very painful bite usually at the shoulder or neck. They also have a better sense of smell than a hound dog and have amazing eyesight. In the wild they can live for 30 years.
