monkeys
Fact FileMonkeys can grow from less than a foot to 2 foot and even 4 foot long and can weigh nearly one 100 lbs. Most monkeys are omnivores but monkeys usually eat vegetation like leaves and fruit but monkeys like baboons and mandrills will hunt smaller monkeys and even antelope. Monkeys are generally very smart and are similar to humans and they even use tools and learn how to communicate with each other. They also learn the rules of the troop like dominant male eats first, grooming relationship, how to eat, who is part of the troop and that they have to be careful of predators. But the thing you would least expect to attack another monkey troop would be another monkey. This is because other monkeys want a chance to mate and lead a troop so they fight dominant males in brutal battles that can result in death and broken bones. If the intruder wins against the dominant male he will kill the groups babies and make sure his babies reach adult hood. However not every male fights for mating rights some sneak in to troops and mate secretly others are more violent and will drag the female away and will mate with her no matter what.
