Fact FileLeopard seals grow to 11 feet and weigh 1,300 lbs this makes them one of the largest seals on earth. Leopard seals are very smart and aggressive and have razor sharp teeth that can rip apart other animals flesh. They are also extremely agile and can chase fast prey like penguins. Leopard seals have super strong jaw power to grab their prey and they hunt in freezing cold water but they do have to breath on land so they go on ice bergs. They use strategy for hunting and sometimes drive prey into under water ice mazes and then they drive prey into a dead end or get it stuck in ice or chase prey till it drowns. They are extremely aversive and defend them selves from large predators by biting with their super sharp teeth and strong jaws that can rip hide and bones off animals. They have being known to hunt by dragging prey off ice into water.

LocationThey can be found all over Antarctica and southern Argentina and some parts of the northern hemisphere.
