capuchins
Fact FileCapuchins can grow up to 1 foot long to nearly 2 feet long and can weigh up to 9 lbs. Although they may not be very big they have the strength of a man and are very good at stealing and they are also one of the most violent monkeys on earth and have been known to kill other capuchins in fights over troops and turf. Their diet includes fruit, leaves, berries, buds, flowers, insects, oysters, small mammals, birds and eggs. They are incredibly smart monkeys and use tools like sticks and rocks. Capuchins live mostly in the trees in large troops. They also use communication to warn each other of predators and they are very good at survival. The capuchins that live in troops have to follow the dominant male and they always let the dominant male eat first. But when to males clash over turf they are incredibly violent and they rip out hair and can bite into flesh and can even kill each other.
